Who are “We’?

     Well mostly we are just a bunch of folks that like gaming but hate rules lawyering, arguing and poring through thick, expensive books to resolve the littlest game problem.

     I am Clayton Callahan, author and creator of QUICK AND EASY GAMES.  I grew up playing games like GDW’s Traveler and TSR’s Basic Dungeons and Dragons.  I had a lot of fun playing these games but then life interfered, I joined the military and later started a family.

     When my kids were old enough to enjoy gaming I went looking for the kind of simple and fun stuff I once enjoyed to share with them…and found it no longer exists.  Steve Jackson’s GURPS is too cumbersome and awkward.  The D20 system is no better.  After that the market is saturated with games that are more complicated than a trigonometry textbook and WORSE, they force you to play in one restrictive universe of the game company’s creating.  

     WELL NUTS TO THAT! I have found the time machine and I am using it.  With QUICK AND EASY GAMES we will provide the gaming community with the kind of simple and fun stuff that it has been without for too long.  Join us in the revolution!  Fight complexity and narrow-minded gaming and have fun again.  Take a look at what we have to offer.  I guarantee it will not cost much and be well worth what you do pay.

     We do not, nor do we plan to, have a store.  We do however plan to bring our revolution to the masses at conventions and game stores thought the northwest.  We had a GREAT time at OryCon ’08 and Game Storm '09 and shared STAR RUN with the science fiction crowd of Portland Oregon.  We even set up a model Space Port Bar and showed folks how the combat system worked by having bar fights all day long.  We also ran a game of TRANSDIMENTIONAL PIZZA, which was such a hit we are now running it monthly at KNIGHTFALL GAMES in Beaverton Oregon.  Our next adventure is Portland's Extreme Gaming Expo on the 27th of June '09 after that we will continue to seek out venues for gaming fun in the Oregon and Washing state area.
